Final Public Meeting on December 18, 2014!

The Houston-Galveston Area Council will hold the fourth and final public meeting for the Greater West Houston Mobility Study will be held on Thursday December 18, 2014 at Maurice Wolfe Elementary School starting at 6:00 PM. During this meeting the proposed study recommendations will be presented for public review and comment. Recommendations will cover changes to the City of Houston Major Thoroughfare Plan, addition and/or expansion of transit services and other alternative transportation modes, bicycle and pedestrian improvements, and government policy changes needed to facilitate implementation.

Public meeting on Tuesday, July 22, 2014

The Houston-Galveston Area Council invites area residents, business owners, community members and local officials to attend a public meeting to provide comments on the West Houston Subregional Planning Initiative (SPI), also known as the West Houston Mobility Study.

A public meeting and open house will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. to present findings on existing conditions, future population and employment growth scenarios, and potential infrastructure and policy strategies in the study area. H-GAC representatives will be available at this meeting to answer questions.

Public Meeting on Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Residents and businesses in West Houston have the opportunity to provide valuable input to a comprehensive Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) transportation and land use study. The West Houston Mobility Plan is examining strategies for improving travel on the region’s freeways, toll roads, and surface streets, as well as transit, pedestrian and bicycle systems.
